Roots:
I am originally from upstate New York. When I was 13, my father’s job transferred us to Missouri, and then I migrated to Austin in 1997 with the love and support of my cousin, fellow iGniter, Simone Krasan.

Family Life:
This year my husband Mike and I will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary with our sweet boys, Colin (9) and Deagan (6).

Work Life:
When I moved to Austin, I started working at Dell in sales and then as a consultant in the Executive Briefing Center. When Colin was born, I became at SAHM (stay-at-home-mom), as I like to fill out under occupation on forms. šŸ™‚

The biggest lesson I’ve learned through my iGnite experience…
The community of women and leaders within iGnite are exactly who I want to surround myself with at a time in my life where I can truly appreciate the experience. It is uplifting to be around a group of ladies who create such a welcoming environment.

The best advice I’ve been given…
One of my favorite pieces of advice is from my husband who, a long time ago told me, “The grass is greener where you water it.” I try and focus on that statement in all verticals in my life and try to be present in the moment because I know the more positive energy you put into an experience, the more you will get out of it.

Something people may not know about me…
I’ll bring it back to a glory days moment – I was a college cheerleader at the University of Missouri – GO MIZZOU!

My celebrity look alike is…
It was more prevalent in the “Sex and the City” days, but I am often told I look and act like Sarah Jessica Parker. My hair is naturally curly for those of you who only see it straight. šŸ™‚ My best friend even entered me in a SATC look-a-like contest – flower on the tank and all!
